Bagan Pinang: The nomination day :: In the morning (Part 1)
This was what we saw when we were getting ready to go to the nomination centre at about 7.30 in the morning. There were at least 2 buses, ready to ferry those clad in red. Words from their tees tells us that they're the UMNO members from Terengganu. The puteras on the left and the puteris the right
Another bus came...
The Indian youth that we saw the night before while walking up the stairs back to our apartment.
The traffic was close to standstill, as such, we had to abandon our car and start walking to the nomination centre.
We walked 5km for about 30 minutes in the intermittent rain, accompanied by scores of PAS supporters. I also wondered how come we landed up at the PR side instead of the BN's.
Rain or shine, you can count on the PAS loyalist to be there.
Some rather wait in the traffic than to go on foot.
That was a long long wait, cos the jam is heavy. Spotted a PAS car in between.
And also a BN's supporters car...
See the queue....? I rather walk... ;p
On the way, I saw this little stall that was selling PAS merchandises as well as Zaid Ibrahim's new book, "Saya Pun Melayu"
And what I saw after that, caught me by surprise,
a pleasant one though....
I saw so many stalls selling food, drinks, books, T-shirts and even VCDs. The PAS supporters were indeed very entrepreneurial! It had definitely added some colours into the event.
We stopped by to get a drink.
VCD stall....
Keropok lekor for breakfast, anyone?
Promoting PAS merchandises...
Many people actually stopped to have a look... and to buy...
Some traditional medicine...
Some use their car as the makeshift stall...
